Senior Payroll Specialist - Long Term Temp (possible Permanent hire) $50-55k Annual Salary
Prestigious and well-known local corporation is looking to add to their internal payroll/accounting team!

Payroll Specialist will:
-Prepare and distribute weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for all employees. Prepare and record payroll time sheet, work orders, payroll adjustments and corrections.
-Maintain current records on employees, verifying all pay rates and voluntary deductions for all employees to assure compliance with company policy and union contracts.
-Prepare/maintain detailed reconciliations of payroll data to general ledger account balances through review of accounting journal entries and general ledger update edit lists.
-Assist in the control of all monthly, quarterly, and annually payroll tax returns prepared and processed by ADP Tax Services and prepare Lawson reports for processing voluntary employee deductions such as 401K, stock purchase and united way.
-Assist in processes withholding tax payments to townships, municipalities, counties, etc.
-Requests check payment for union dues, stock, thrift plans, and United Way.
-Assist with special projects, w-2 reconciliation, and payroll audits.
Senior Payroll Specialist must have 3-5 years experience in a payroll/accounting position
Experience using Lawson or HRIS system is required
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred
